How Do I Take a Screenshot to Report an Issue?

When reporting an issue to our support team, a screenshot can make all the difference. Here is how to take one on every major device:

Windows

  • Snipping Tool / Snip & Sketch: Press Windows + Shift + S to open the screenshot overlay. Select the area you want to capture. The screenshot is copied to your clipboard and you can paste it directly into an email or support ticket.
  • Full Screen: Press the Print Screen (PrtSc) key to capture your entire screen. Open Paint or any image editor and press Ctrl + V to paste it, then save the file.
  • Active Window Only: Press Alt + Print Screen to capture only the window you are currently using.

Mac

  • Selected Area: Press Command + Shift + 4, then click and drag to select the area you want to capture. The screenshot saves to your desktop.
  • Full Screen: Press Command + Shift + 3 to capture the entire screen.
  • Single Window: Press Command + Shift + 4, then press Spacebar. Click on the window you want to capture.

iPhone / iPad

  • Face ID devices: Press the Side Button + Volume Up at the same time.
  • Home Button devices: Press the Home Button + Side Button at the same time.
  • The screenshot will appear as a thumbnail in the bottom-left corner. Tap it to crop or annotate before saving.

Android

  • On most Android devices, press the Power Button + Volume Down at the same time.
  • Some devices also let you screenshot by swiping three fingers down the screen or through a quick-settings tile.
  • Screenshots are saved to your Photos or Gallery app.

Chromebook

  • Full Screen: Press Ctrl + Show Windows (the rectangle key with two lines).
  • Selected Area: Press Ctrl + Shift + Show Windows, then drag to select an area.

Once you have your screenshot, attach it to your support ticket or email when reporting the issue. This helps our team understand exactly what you are seeing and resolve it faster.
