Making an Xbox account yours
The account is a full handover, not a shared or rented login. Your order gives you the credentials that already own the game, and you secure it to yourself by changing the password on first sign-in and moving the email and two-factor settings across to your own.
Keep the account linked to its original email until every credential is updated, so nothing locks you out midway. Once it is secured, the account is permanently yours.
Playing on your own gamertag too
Add the account to your Xbox and sign in, and the library is ready to download straight away. If you would rather play under your own gamertag, set the purchased account as your console's Home Xbox: your own Microsoft account on that console can then use its games as well.
