Steam DLC, expansions and season passes
Steam DLC is the add-on layer for the games already in your library: story chapters, expansions, season passes and cosmetic packs that install on top of a base game you own. Thousands of them here, activated the same way as any Steam key and delivered the moment you buy.
What Steam DLC is
Steam DLC is downloadable content that builds on a base game you already own on Steam: an expansion, a story chapter, a season pass, a cosmetic set. The best of it gives you a reason to reinstall a game rather than simply padding it out.
Because it extends the base game, DLC installs on top of that game on the same Steam account. It does not run on its own, so the base game has to be there first.
Redeeming Steam DLC
A Steam add-on activates exactly like a base game. Open the Steam client, choose Add a Game, then Activate a Product on Steam, and paste the code from your order. The DLC then appears under the game it belongs to and downloads alongside it.
Codes are delivered the instant payment clears. The full walkthrough is in the help center: how to activate a Steam key.
Buying Steam DLC on Keydra
Expansions and season passes reach us through authorised Keydra supply partners, so add-ons sit below their Steam price, with a sale running all year rather than a couple of seasonal windows.
Every listing shows the region its code was issued for, which is safest matched to the base game you own. If a code does not work, support replaces it or refunds you.
Common questions
- Do I need the base game on Steam?
- Yes. Steam DLC installs on top of the matching base game on the same Steam account. It will not run on its own.
- How is Steam DLC activated?
- The same way as any Steam key: Add a Game, then Activate a Product on Steam. The add-on then appears under the base game.
- Does the region matter?
- It can, and every listing shows the region its code is for. It is safest when the DLC matches the region of the base game you own.
