Armored Core is FromSoftware's mech combat series, and this instalment puts players in the cockpit of a fully customisable Armored Core for fast, omni-directional battles across land and sky. Movement is central to the combat: mechs boost, dash and take to the air, and every part fitted to the chassis changes how the machine handles as well as what it can fire.

Missions build towards confrontations with a range of formidable bosses, each demanding a different mix of offensive and defensive tactics. Parts customisation lets pilots rework their loadout between engagements, so a mech built for close-range aggression can be reconfigured for ranged, defensive play when a mission calls for it.
