Aska puts you in charge of a Viking tribe that must be built, fed and defended from scratch. You command intelligent NPC villagers who work, craft, hunt and fight alongside you, each with their own daily needs for rest, food, drink and companionship. It is less about placing buildings and more about keeping a functioning settlement alive.

Villagers can be trained to sharpen their abilities, so a dedicated blacksmith or a skilled hunter genuinely improves what the tribe can achieve. The world itself is procedurally generated, with hidden caves, landmarks and dynamic weather that shifts the tribe's priorities as the seasons turn, culminating in a harsh winter when older, darker threats stir.

The tribe's fortunes rest on the structures you raise and the roles you assign.

Progress in Aska comes from balancing construction, resource gathering and defence as the settlement grows.
