Broken Arrow Steam Digital Key

A joint-forces wargame with real-time tactics

Broken Arrow is a large-scale real-time modern warfare tactics game built around the American and Russian factions, each split into five distinct sub-factions such as marines, armoured, and airborne. It merges the depth of a joint-forces wargame with the fast, action-packed pace typical of the real-time tactics genre.

On the battlefield you deploy by land, sea and air, using paratroopers and helicopters to seize key locations before reinforcing them with heavy tanks, artillery and tactical missile strikes. Special forces can be sent behind enemy lines to disrupt logistics and provide laser designation for supporting aircraft, while the terrain itself becomes a tool for ambushes and flanking manoeuvres.

Large urban battlefields and deep customisation

Battles play out across large maps based on real places, from industrial harbours and airports to refineries and dense city blocks filled with apartment towers and malls, reinforcing the sense of scale and realism.

The game includes over 300 units, with more than 1500 possible combinations once customisation is factored in. Aircraft and helicopters can be fitted with different rockets, bombs, missiles, fuel tanks and countermeasures, while tanks can be upgraded with armour, active protection and improved weapons or sensors.

• Recon units: vehicles, drones and sniper teams for spotting and marking targets
• Infantry: rifles, machine guns and anti-tank or anti-aircraft weapons, with garrison options
• Fighting vehicles: tanks, ATGM carriers and fire support vehicles
• Support: artillery, anti-aircraft vehicles and logistics trucks for repairs and supplies
• Helicopters: hit-and-run firepower plus transport for troops and equipment
• Airplanes: air interception, ground support and airdrop capability

Army building and scenario creation

Success depends on planning: assembling combinations of units and weapons to suit a chosen playstyle means each engagement can unfold differently. A powerful scenario editor, the same tool used to build the campaign missions, is also available to the community, complete with visual scripting for cutscenes and dialogue without writing code, ready to be shared on Steam Workshop.
