Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 EU Steam Digital Key

A turn-based RPG with a real-time edge

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 sends Gustave, Maelle and their fellow Expeditioners on a doomed race against the Paintress, whose annual number erases everyone of that age. Set in a world drawn from Belle Époque France, the story follows the group as they trace the fate of earlier expeditions while trying to break the cycle before their own year comes up.

The combat sits between classic turn-based JRPGs and something more physical: you build each Expeditioner through gear, stats, skills and character synergies, then take those builds into fights where dodging, parrying, countering and free aim on enemy weak points all happen in real time between your turns. It rewards players who enjoy both tactical planning and reflexes.

Developed by Sandfall Interactive and built in Unreal Engine 5, the game favours atmosphere as much as mechanics, with locations such as the Island of Visages and the Forgotten Battlefield to explore, and companions to recruit who open new travel routes and hidden areas.

What this listing gets you

This is the standard edition of the base game, delivered as a Steam key for Windows. Once redeemed on Steam it unlocks the full game on your own Steam account, with no separate account handover involved.

The key activates on Steam accounts registered in the Europe region, so it's intended for players there rather than other territories. If you're outside Europe, the same standard edition is also available as a Global region key.

Language and age rating

The game supports a wide spread of languages including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Chinese, so most European players should find something they're comfortable with.

It carries a PEGI 18 rating, reflecting its combat and darker themes, so it's aimed squarely at adult players rather than family audiences.
