DOOM Eternal is a single player campaign of push forward, first person combat, with the Slayer facing demonic forces across dimensions to stop the destruction of humanity. Armed with a shoulder mounted flamethrower, a wrist blade, upgraded guns and mods, the pace and power are built around the Unholy Trinity: glory kill for health, incinerate for armour, and chainsaw demons for ammo, keeping the Slayer constantly on the move.

Alongside the campaign sits Battlemode, a 2 versus 1 multiplayer mode where a fully armed Slayer takes on two player controlled demons across a best of five round match. It's a distinct pace change from the single player horror and FPS action, developed by id Software and published by Bethesda Softworks.
