Hell has come to Mars

DOOM puts you in the boots of the lone DOOM Marine, activated to fight back the demon horde that has overrun the Union Aerospace Corporation's research facility on Mars. Developed by id Software, the studio behind the original first-person shooter and the invention of multiplayer Deathmatch, this is a brutal, fast-moving return to form for the series.

There is no cover and no waiting to regenerate health here. Combat is relentless: you're expected to combine a futuristic arsenal, upgrades and an advanced melee system to knock down, slash, stomp and blow apart demons as you push through Hell's ranks.

What's included beyond the campaign

Alongside the single-player campaign, DOOM carries id's signature arena-style multiplayer, with classic and new modes built around fast movement, powerful weapons and power-ups that let you take control of a demon yourself.

DOOM SnapMap is also included, a level and game-mode editor built to be usable without prior experience. You can put together maps, set custom gameplay logic and share what you build with other players, or play what they've made.
