Dune (2022) is a real-time strategy game set in Frank Herbert's Dune universe, developed by Shiro Games and published by Funcom. You take charge of one of several factions fighting for control of the desert planet Arrakis and its most valuable resource, spice.

Playable factions include House Atreides, House Harkonnen, the Smugglers and the native Fremen, each with its own strengths, weaknesses and councillors such as Duncan Idaho, Chani Kynes and Rabban. Success depends on balancing open warfare, political manoeuvring in the Landsraad, economic control and covert sabotage through spies, all while watching for sandworms that can swallow troops and harvesters whole.

Exploration and expansion

Ornithopters let you scan the landscape for resources, villages and points of interest, while military expansion brings more of Arrakis under your control. Buildings and spice harvesters turn that territory into economic strength, though aggressive expansion carries political risk if rival factions take offence.
