Dying Light 2 Stay Human is set fifteen years after humanity's loss to a virus, in the last great human settlement, a city plunged into a modern dark age. By day, bandits, rival factions and desperate survivors fight over scraps in the streets. By night, the infected emerge from their hideouts to hunt the living, since the infection has grown more sensitive to UV light and forces them into darkness.

You play Aiden Caldwell, an infected survivor whose agility and combat ability make him both a powerful ally and a valuable target. The choices you make shape the fate of entire regions of the city, opening up new areas as the story unfolds, and the campaign can be played solo or with up to four players in co-op.

Movement and combat

Traversal is built around free-running across rooftops and ruined structures, giving unusual freedom of movement through the city. This is paired with brutal, first person melee combat, so getting around and fighting through danger feel like part of the same skillset rather than separate systems.
