ELEX II is the sequel to ELEX, built by Piranha Bytes, the studio behind Gothic and Risen. Set on the planet Magalan, it continues Jax's story several years after the defeat of the Hybrid, as a new threat descends from the sky and unleashes the powers of dark Elex across the land.

Jax must unite Magalan's rival factions against this new danger while searching for his missing son, Dex. The world is hand crafted and open, with a jetpack letting you fly and traverse the map freely rather than following a fixed path through the story.

A reactive world that remembers your choices

NPCs in ELEX II remember what you've done and react accordingly, and companions will join or leave your group depending on how you treat them. Characters can be killed permanently, and those deaths ripple through the story, so the moral decisions you make have lasting consequences.
