Expeditions: A MudRunner Game Steam Digital Key

Off-road exploration with a scientific twist

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game takes the physics-based off-road driving that Saber Interactive built its name on and points it towards discovery rather than delivery. You lead research missions across deserts, forests and steep mountain terrain, piloting all-terrain vehicles through routes that punish careless driving and reward patience.

Reconnaissance is as important as horsepower here. A drone lets you scout the landscape from above before committing a vehicle to a route, while a metal detector and camera drone help track down caches of useful equipment hidden across the map. Vehicles carry their own toolkit too, from anchors that help them claw up steep slopes to echo sounders that probe water depth before a crossing.

Back at camp you build research structures and hire experts, each one unlocking new skills that open up further expeditions. It sits comfortably alongside other racing games and action titles for anyone who prefers terrain and logistics to circuits, and fans of sports games built around vehicle handling should feel at home too.

It carries a PEGI 3 rating, and supports a wide range of languages including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Czech, Portuguese (Brazil), Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Other ways to play it

If you'd rather buy region-specific stock, the same edition for Europe is also available. Those wanting more content from the outset can look at the Supreme edition on the same platform, which builds on the base game.
