For The King II sends a party of adventurers against Queen Rosomon, who has turned on her own people and struck deals with dark forces to keep them enslaved in the mines beneath Fahrul. The campaign runs across five linked adventures totalling over 30 hours, with a procedurally generated map so no run plays out the same way twice.

Movement, encounters and combat all draw on dice roll mechanics, giving every decision an element of chance alongside strategy. The new Battle Grid adds positioning to combat, letting you brace a back row with a Tower Shield, shove foes into fire, or tangle melee attackers with looted magic weapons.

Twelve character classes, from the hard-hitting Blacksmith to the potion-slinging Alchemist, form the backbone of your party, and you can recruit mercenaries or tame wild creatures to bolster your ranks along the way. Play solo with full control of every character, or team up with up to three friends in co-op and coordinate your strategy together.
