Gord Steam Digital Key

A grim fantasy settlement built on survival

Gord puts you in charge of the Tribe of the Dawn as they push into forbidden lands to build a gord, growing it from a humble settlement into a fortress capable of withstanding what the wilderness sends against it. The setting draws on Slavic folklore, giving the world a grim, mythic edge that runs through every quest and decision.

Quests shape your settlers' personalities and wellbeing as much as the fate of the community itself. Beyond the walls, side quests and random encounters send you out to hunt legendary creatures, uncover the secrets of the Ancients, or deal with a scourge threatening your people. The Scenario system lets you set objectives, level size, raid intensity, environment, enemy types, starting resources and weather severity before you begin, so each run can be shaped to your own taste for challenge.

Sanity, spells and the Chronicle

Every settler's Sanity is tracked through illness, hunger and the loss of kin, and once it collapses a subject may suffer a breakdown or abandon your rule entirely, so keeping your populace stable is as important as defending it. Prayers to the Gods can unlock spellcasting incantations, some offensive and some defensive, useful for tilting battles in your favour.

Scattered across the landscape are pages of the Chronicle, which reveal the history of the Gord universe, its Gods, ancient factions and the mysterious Whisperers, for players who want to dig into the lore as they play.
