Greedfall II: The Dying World takes place three years before the events of the first chapter, but this time you play a native of Teer Fradee who has been snatched from their island and brought to Gacane, homeland of the colonists. That continent is a world worn down by war, scarred by the Malichor plague and pulled in different directions by competing factions.

Regaining your freedom and taking control of your own fate means choosing how you deal with the people around you: diplomacy, cunning or open combat, often with allies you pick up along the way. The aim is to stop one man's ambitions of conquest before they spell ruin for both the continent and your own island home.

Exploring Gacane and its factions

You travel across new landscapes, from Olima, the city of stars belonging to the Bridge Alliance, to the shores of Uxantis, uncovering the secrets buried in these older lands. Along the way you meet the various factions that hold sway over these nations and have to navigate their schemes and conspiracies.

You build your own character and recruit allies who join your team. Their quests and secrets can be pursued, and your relationships with them can turn into friendship, rivalry or something more. You equip them as you see fit and can take direct control of them in combat, with diplomacy, manipulation, infiltration and combat all standing as genuine ways to reach your goals. Fans of RPGs looking for other RPG games will find plenty to get their teeth into here.
