Homeworld 3 brings Blackbird Interactive's sci-fi RTS series back into dazzling, fully 3D space. Command fleets around hulking derelict megaliths that add real 3D terrain to the battlespace, funnelling enemies into ambushes or hiding your ships from stronger foes. Fortresses bristling with turrets invite dangerous trench runs, while particle storms and asteroid fields test even experienced commanders.

Ballistics are fully simulated, so line of sight, cover and flanking all matter in a fight. Ships carry their scars and their crews from mission to mission, and the story picks up after Homeworld 2, following the failing Hyperspace Gate Network and the myth of Karan.

Modes beyond the campaign

War Games is a three player co-op mode that pairs Homeworld's fleet combat with roguelike structure: commanders face randomised battles, claim Artifacts to boost their ships and unlock new fleets depending on how they perform.

Against human opponents there's 1v1, free for all and team multiplayer, alongside AI skirmish for sharpening tactics. Mods are supported too, with the Unreal editor available for building maps and ships, and mod.io integration for downloading community creations without extra hassle.
