Homeworld 3 Steam Digital Key

A fully 3D fleet combat RTS

Homeworld 3 brings the series back to dazzling, fully 3D space battles, continuing the galactic story that follows the age of abundance created by the Hyperspace Gate Network. As those gates begin to fail catastrophically, Karan, now a figure of myth and religious idolatry, becomes central to the mystery threatening the galaxy's future.

Hulking derelict megaliths introduce genuine 3D terrain into the Homeworld battlespace, letting commanders funnel enemies into ambushes or use crumbling ruins for cover. Fortresses bristling with turrets invite strike craft on dangerous trench runs, while fully simulated ballistics make line of sight and cover real tactical considerations rather than afterthoughts. Space phenomena such as particle storms and asteroid fields add unpredictable complications to every engagement.

Fleets persist across missions, carrying scars from battle, and pilots and captains relay information through battlefield chatter, giving campaigns a continuous, lived-in feel.

Ways to play

Beyond the campaign, War Games is a three player co-op mode that fuses Homeworld's RTS combat with roguelike structure, sending commanders through randomised fleet challenges. Artifacts collected along the way boost ships with more power, speed and weaponry, and results unlock new fleets to vary future runs.

Competitive players can test their instincts against AI in skirmish before moving on to human opponents in 1v1, free-for-all or team battles. Mod support through the Unreal editor, alongside in-game mod.io integration, lets players build and share their own content or download the community's creations.
