A strategy game spanning the whole of human history

HUMANKIND is a historical strategy game from Amplitude Studios in which you guide a civilization from its Neolithic origins through to the Modern Age, combining up to 60 historical cultures along the way. Rather than sticking with one people, you might begin as a humble tribe, rise as the Babylonians, transition into the Classical era Mayans, then the Medieval Umayyads, and later the Early Modern British, each culture layering new gameplay onto your empire.

Fame is the game's unifying victory condition. Every moral decision, scientific breakthrough, natural wonder discovered, and battle won builds your fame, and the player who leaves the deepest mark on the world wins.

Battles play out as turn-based tactical engagements on the world map itself. You can unstack your armies to command individual units, including special culture-specific units, construct siege weapons, and fight extended battles across multiple turns with reinforcements. You also create and customise a leader avatar, which evolves visually as your civilization grows and can be levelled up to unlock new looks shown off to others in multiplayer, for up to 8 players.
