Land of the Vikings puts you in charge of a growing Norse settlement, where every villager is an individual with their own strengths, weaknesses and more than 20 traits to manage. Some Vikings are built for heavy labour, others are natural talkers, and matching the right person to the right job matters as your village expands and new settlers arrive to join or new generations are born into it.

Survival depends on careful resource management across the seasons. You will chop wood, farm crops, hunt, mine ore and fish the surrounding fjords to keep stores full, while bracing for earthquakes, lightning storms, blizzards and the long cold of winter. Trade with neighbouring villages once you have built a Trade Dock, or take the more direct route and raid foreign settlements for gold, silver and Fame.

Building and progression

There is no grid to restrict you, so villages can be laid out however you like, with monuments to Odin or Freya, customised ships, and buildings unlocked and improved by spending Fame points through the Tree of Life. Brewing beer for a Tavern, farming goats for wool and weaving better clothing all feed back into how healthy and happy your Vikings become.
