A post apocalyptic world worth reclaiming

Last Whisper drops you into a ruined open world where humanity has spent thirty years hiding underground from a virus that turned much of the population into mutants and zombies. The story reaches back to industries controlling people through brain implants and a rebellion that provoked the ruling elite into unleashing that virus as a last resort. Now the survivors are ready to take the surface back.

You start with nothing and have to make your way across a large map that includes a sprawling city and a harsh desert, dealing with severe weather and temperature alongside the constant threat of zombies. A car lets you cover ground faster, and it doubles as a way of running down anything that gets in your way.

Survival, crafting and loot

Gathering resources, crafting equipment and managing a limited backpack are core to getting through Last Whisper, and setting up a base gives you somewhere safe to retreat to between expeditions.

Weapons come in four tiers of rarity, with the strongest examples guarded in bunkers by hordes of zombies and tough bosses. Finding better gear is generally what opens up access to the game's more dangerous biomes.

Solo or with friends

Last Whisper can be played alone or in co-op with up to eight friends, so you can take on zombie hordes, explore new locations and face down bosses as a group if you prefer company on the way to the surface.
