Manor Lords CN Steam Digital Key

A medieval city built on your own terms

Manor Lords drops you into late 14th century Franconia as a lord tasked with turning a modest village into a working town. The city-building here is gridless, so you place and rotate every building by hand rather than snapping to a grid, and homes grow along the historical burgage plot system as families take on trades to support themselves and their neighbours.

Seasons matter as much as buildings. Spring rain and harsh winters both shape what you can grow, build and move, so timing your expansion around the calendar is part of the strategy rather than an afterthought.

Resources, trade and the cost of growth

Beyond the town itself, you manage production chains for everything from basic necessities to luxury goods, and can found specialised satellite settlements to extract resources you can't get at home. Trade routes let you sell surplus to merchants and fund new technologies, but expansion has consequences: overuse of the land shows up in migrating wildlife, tired soil and shrinking forests.

This makes Manor Lords as much about balance as ambition, weighing short-term output against the long-term health of the land you're building on.

Warfare with real stakes

When conflict arrives, soldiers aren't disposable numbers. You train a personal retinue and can raise levies from your town's militia, then take them into real-time tactical battles where fatigue, weather and equipment all affect the outcome. Diplomacy runs alongside combat, letting you negotiate with or pressure rival lords instead of always fighting.

Losses on the battlefield ripple back into your economy, so every campaign carries a genuine cost to the city you've spent hours building.
