Monster Hunter Stories takes the familiar world of Monster Hunter and turns it on its head. Rather than tracking down monsters to defeat them, you raise them as Monsties, forming bonds that carry you through a story of Riders, Hunters and the looming threat known as the Black Blight.

As a young Rider leaving your home village, you'll grow alongside your Monsties, uncover the truth behind the Kinship Stone and the Legend of Redan, and work to bring the separate worlds of Riders and Hunters together. It's a fully voiced adventure in both Japanese and English, giving the story extra weight throughout.

A turn-based system built on kinship

Battles use a Power, Speed and Technical system that rewards reading your opponent's patterns rather than fast reflexes, making it approachable even if you don't usually get on with action combat. Building your Kinship Gauge unlocks skills and each Monstie's own Kinship Skill, and the Rite of Channeling lets you awaken dormant abilities to raise stronger, original Monsties.

This release includes all the monsters added since the game's original launch, such as Kushala Daora, Teostra and Rajang, along with expanded endgame content and extra character editing options, plus a museum mode holding over 200 pieces of concept art and music tracks, some presented in surround sound for the first time.
