Risk of Rain 2 Steam Digital Key

A roguelike built for repeated runs

Risk of Rain 2 takes the original Risk of Rain formula and pushes it into three dimensions, with randomised stages, enemies, bosses and items ensuring no run plays out the same way twice. It can be played solo or with up to four friends fighting through hordes of monsters to unlock loot and find a way off the planet.

A scaling system means both the player and the enemies grow more powerful as a run continues, so what starts as a tough boss fight can eventually become a routine encounter. With over 75 items to unlock and exploit, and a roster of survivors that mixes returning favourites like the Engineer, Huntress and Commando with newer additions such as the Artificer and MUL-T, there is plenty of room to experiment with builds and strategy.

What this listing includes

This is the standard edition of Risk of Rain 2 as a Steam key, activating worldwide. Once redeemed on Steam, the game is added permanently to the buyer's own Steam library and can be launched from there like any other Steam title.

The listing supports the languages Hopoo Games and Gearbox Publishing built into the game, including English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Chinese, Korean, Turkish, Italian and Portuguese (Brazil), and it runs on Windows. It carries a PEGI 12 age rating.

Cooperative action from Hopoo Games

Developed by Hopoo Games and published by Gearbox Publishing, Risk of Rain 2 sits firmly in the action, indie and co-op genres, built around four player co-op through Steam without the need for manual port forwarding.

Players exploring massive, handcrafted 3D levels will find lore scattered through Monster, Item and Environment Logs, and those wanting a more competitive edge can take on the Prismatic Trials, seeded runs designed for racing up a global leaderboard.

Browsing further

If you are stocking up on more titles for the same platform, it is worth browsing other Steam keys alongside this one. Fans of the genre may also want to look through the wider selection of indie games and co-op games on offer, or the broader range of action games if you fancy something in a similar vein.

Buyers who need a European activation region instead of the Global key can find that version listed separately as the EU key.
