Road 96 drops you into the summer of 1996 on the roads of Petria, an authoritarian nation where every mile brings a new choice. You play as teenagers trying to reach the border, meeting a cast of characters whose stories intertwine as your journey unfolds. Decisions along the way shape who you meet and how your particular route through the game plays out.

The game mixes quiet exploration with sudden bursts of action and plenty of odd, human encounters, all set against a backdrop of oppression and unrest.
