Saints Row IV finds the Boss of the Saints elected President of the United States, only for Earth to be invaded by the alien Zinyak and his empire. Transported into a simulated version of Steelport, the Saints fight back with a mix of old friends, new allies and an arsenal of superpowers and strange weapons to free humanity.

Alongside leaping over buildings and running through tanks, players get hold of alien vehicles and weapons such as the Inflato-Ray, the Polarizer and the Disintegrator, plus a weapon customisation system to go with the game's character and clothing customisation.
