A stray cat in a decaying cybercity

Stray casts you as a lost cat, separated from family and left to navigate a decaying, neon-lit cybercity and its murky underbelly. Told from the cat's point of view, the game asks you to roam alleys high and low, avoid threats and puzzle out the mysteries of a city that clearly was not built for anything with paws.

Along the way the cat picks up a small flying drone companion known as B12, and the two of them work together to find a way out. The game leans into playful, cat-like interaction with the environment: knocking things over, squeezing into gaps, being stealthy or simply being a nuisance to the droids and creatures who live there.

Stray was developed by BlueTwelve Studio, a small studio based in the south of France, and published by Annapurna Interactive. It sits comfortably in the adventure games and indie games space, released on 19 July 2022.
