The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in 14th-century Europe as plague and war weaken humanity, giving vampires and other creatures of the night the opening they have waited centuries for. You play as Coen, a man turned into a Dawnwalker, caught between the world of day and the realm of night, torn between saving his family and giving in to the power his curse offers.

Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the game runs on Unreal Engine 5 and offers two distinct gameplay loops tied to day and night, each with its own abilities, mysteries and ways to approach the world. Choices carry weight throughout, and time keeps moving as your family's days run out, so who you help and who you leave behind genuinely shapes how the story ends.

Combat and exploration

As a human, Coen wields sword and magic; as a Dawnwalker, he fights with claws, supernatural strength and vampiric abilities that defy gravity. Both forms have their own strengths and weaknesses, encouraging you to adapt your approach depending on whether you're facing enemies in daylight or under cover of darkness.

The open world is hand-crafted and includes forests, plains, swamps, mountains and medieval settlements to explore, along with forgotten ruins and traces of an older civilisation for those willing to dig into the game's history.
