The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY Edition Deluxe Steam Digital Key

A vast world to shape as you choose

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion drops you into Cyrodiil with almost no restrictions on who your character becomes. Play a noble warrior, a shadowy assassin or a scholarly sorcerer, and pursue the main quest at whatever pace suits you while the world carries on regardless. Combat and magic are handled from a first person perspective, giving weight to every swing of a blade or cast spell.

The Radiant AI system means the people of Cyrodiil live out their own routines, eating, sleeping and pursuing goals independently of anything you do, which gives the setting a sense of a living place rather than a static backdrop.

Developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, this is a long-standing entry in the RPG and adventure genres, and sits comfortably among the story-rich games and RPG games collections.

What the game of the year edition adds

This edition folds the base game together with the Knights of the Nine questline and the Shivering Isles expansion, the latter taking you to Sheogorath's realm, a world split between Mania and Dementia and populated by Flesh Atronachs, Grummites and other unfamiliar foes.

The Knights of the Nine content lets you revive a long-disbanded order across a dedicated quest line through Cyrodiil, adding a fresh faction and story thread to the existing game.

Deluxe content included

This English-only Deluxe version bundles in a set of downloadable content on top of the two main expansions:

• Fighter's Stronghold, a castle with private quarters, dining hall and wine cellar
• Spell Tome Treasures, adding new low and high level spells
• Vile Lair, an underwater hideout for evil-aligned characters
• Mehrune's Razor, a weapon claimed from a demanding dungeon
• The Thieves Den, a pirate ship suited to stealth-based characters
• Wizard's Tower, a magical tower in the mountains of Cyrodiil
• Orrery, unlocking secrets within the Mages Guild's Inner Sanctum
• Horse Armor Pack, protective armour for your mount
