About AMC Theatres gift cards

AMC Theatres is one of the largest cinema operators in the United States, running multiplexes that show mainstream releases alongside premium large format and recliner screens. Gift card credit goes towards the cost of a booking, so it suits a regular cinemagoer, a family outing or anyone who would rather receive film credit than an object.

Face values run from small amounts that top up a single ticket to larger sums that cover several visits. The credit is drawn against your order total, and the card cannot be exchanged for cash. If you are shopping for other brands too, AMC Theatres sits alongside the rest of the prepaid gift cards range.

How to redeem an AMC Theatres gift card

Online redemption happens at the basket stage of a booking on amctheatres.com. For in person use, the card needs to be printed so the cashier can scan the barcode or key in the number shown beneath it.

Go to amctheatres.com and sign in, or create an account.
Choose your film, screening time and location.
Select Order Online to view your order summary.
Enter the gift card code in the REDEEM GIFT CARD field at the bottom of the shopping basket page.
Select Redeem and check that the value has been deducted from the total.
To pay in person instead, print the gift card and present it to the cashier at the till.

Region and where the card works

AMC Theatres gift cards are tied to the United States operation and are redeemed against bookings and purchases at AMC locations there. Buy the card for the country the recipient actually visits the cinema in, since credit issued for one country's account cannot be moved to another.

A United States card assumes a United States account and payment flow at checkout.
