How to redeem a Shell gift card
Most Shell eGift Cards are redeemed through the Shell App. Some cards are instead presented directly to the cashier as an e-voucher, so check the wording that comes with the card you buy.
- Open the Shell App on your phone and sign in to your account.
- Find the gift card or voucher option in the app.
- Enter the code from your order exactly as it is shown.
- Confirm the balance has been added to your account.
- For counter redemption, show the e-voucher to the cashier when payment is requested.
Regions and where Shell gift cards work
Shell gift cards are tied to the country they were issued for, and the balance can only be used at Shell stations in that country, through the local version of the Shell App or at the till. A card bought for one market will not load or be accepted in another.

- Can I use a Shell gift card in another country?
- No. Each Shell gift card is issued for one country's Shell network and is only valid at Shell stations there. Buy the card for the country where it will be used.
- What can the balance be spent on?
- Shell gift cards are used for fuel and for items sold in the Shell shop at participating stations. Some e-vouchers exclude services such as car wash or servicing, so read the notes supplied with the card.
- How do I get the code?
- The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, and you then redeem it in the Shell App or present it at the counter.
- What happens to any leftover balance?
- Any amount not spent in one visit normally stays on the card or in your Shell App account for a later purchase, subject to the terms printed with the card.
