For The King II sends you into the land of Fahrul, where Queen Rosomon has turned tyrant and forced her subjects into servitude in the mines. Playing alone or with up to three others in four-player co-op, you gather a party to defy her rule and push back against the forces loyal to her.

The game blends dice roll inspired movement, encounter and combat systems with a procedurally generated map, so each run through the campaign's five linked adventures takes a different shape. Combat plays out on a Battle Grid, where positioning matters for buffs, penalties, shield walls, fire pools and looted dark magic weapons.

Party building and setting

There are 12 character classes to choose from, from the Blacksmith to the Alchemist, each with its own perks and playstyle. You can round out your party further by recruiting mercenaries from taverns or taming beasts found out in the wild.

Fahrul itself spans a range of biomes, from forests and toxic swamps to lava wastelands and tropical seas, each rendered in its own distinct art style.
