About Asmodee Digital
Asmodee Digital publishes digital adaptations of tabletop games, alongside a few titles that go beyond the table. Its best-known releases include Gloomhaven, the dungeon-crawling adaptation made by Flaming Fowl Studios, Terraforming Mars, Scythe: Digital Edition, Splendor, Ascension: Deckbuilding Game and Pandemic: The Board Game.
Other studios behind the catalogue include Odinsoft, LUCKYHAMMERS Entertainment and The Knights of Unity, whose work spans strategy games, card and deckbuilding titles, and survival adventure games such as Survival: Fountain of Youth. Releases in the catalogue span 2017 to 2023.
Games in the catalogue
Strategy and board game adaptations make up the core: Terraforming Mars, Scythe: Digital Edition, Blood Rage: Digital Edition, A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Digital Edition and the co-operative Pandemic: The Board Game. Card-driven play arrives through Ascension: Deckbuilding Game, Pathfinder Adventures and The Lord of the Rings Adventure Card Game, while Gloomhaven and Splendor cover RPG and lighter casual tastes.
Bundles and add-ons are part of the range too, including Carcassonne and Mysterium collections and extra content for Pandemic: The Board Game, which needs the matching base game. Everything listed is for Steam, so these sit alongside other Steam keys for PC.
How buying works
All of these titles activate on Steam. Most come as keys, which you redeem in the Steam client or website to add the game to your library; if you have not done it before, see the guide on activating a Steam key. Some titles, such as Gloomhaven, Splendor and Survival: Fountain of Youth, are also sold as game accounts, which come with the game already on it and are signed into rather than redeemed.
Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the Steam account it is redeemed on, so check the region before buying.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- Every Asmodee Digital title listed is for Steam and is added to a Steam library, either by redeeming a key or by signing into an account that already has the game.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the region of the key matches the region of your Steam account. A key sold for one region may not redeem on an account registered elsewhere.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem so the game joins your own Steam library. An account comes with the game already on it, and you sign in to play rather than redeeming anything.
- Do the DLC and expansion listings need the base game?
- Yes. Add-on content such as the Pandemic: The Board Game expansion requires the matching base game on the same Steam account.
- When do I get the key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment has completed.
