About Offworld Industries
Offworld Industries built its reputation on Squad, a fifty versus fifty infantry and combined arms shooter with squad leaders, fire teams and player-built positions. The same approach carried into Squad 44 and Beyond the Wire, which move the formula into historical settings with slower, more deliberate firefights.
Alongside these, the publisher works on Starship Troopers: Extermination, a co-operative science fiction shooter. The range sits mostly in the FPS and action space, with strategy, simulation and indie leanings and even a soundtrack release, spanning titles from 2015 to 2023.
Games in the catalogue
Squad anchors the line-up and appears both on its own and in a bundle with its soundtrack. Squad 44 and Beyond the Wire extend the publisher's historical military shooters, while Starship Troopers: Extermination offers a lighter, science fiction take on the same co-operative teamwork.
Everything runs on Steam, so these are PC titles. Extra content is part of the range too, including the Squad 44 Supporter Edition, which adds to the base game rather than replacing it.
How buying works
All of these titles activate on Steam. Most come as keys that are redeemed on a Steam account, and the Steam key activation guide walks through the steps; Squad is also available as an account, which arrives with the game already on it and is signed into rather than redeemed.
Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is being added to, so check the region of a listing against your own before buying. The notes on region locking explain how this works in practice.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- Every Offworld Industries title in the range is for Steam and is added to a Steam account. There are no console versions in the catalogue.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the key's region matches the region of the Steam account redeeming it. A key intended for one region may be refused on an account set to another, so match the two before buying.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem on your own Steam account. An account comes with the game already on it, so you sign in with the details provided instead of redeeming anything.
- Do I need the base game for extra content?
- Yes. Add-ons such as the Squad 44 Supporter Edition content require the base game on the same Steam account to be usable.
- When do I receive the key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
