Before You Start
- A McAfee account (free to create during setup)
- Your McAfee product key
How to Activate
- Go to mcafee.com/activate.
- Sign in to your McAfee account (or create one).
- Enter your product key and click “Submit”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install McAfee.
- McAfee will activate automatically using the key tied to your account.
If McAfee Is Already Installed
- Open McAfee.
- Go to My Account or Subscriptions.
- Look for the option to enter a product key or renew.
- Enter your key to extend or upgrade your protection.
Tips
- McAfee subscriptions are tied to your McAfee account.
- Each key has a device limit. McAfee+ plans often include unlimited devices.
- Your subscription period begins when the key is first activated.
