Minecraft keys can be redeemed through your Microsoft account, which is now required for both Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.
Before you start
- A Microsoft account (Mojang accounts have been migrated to Microsoft)
- Your Minecraft product key or redemption code
How to redeem
- Go to minecraft.net/redeem and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Enter your product key or code.
- Click “Redeem”.
- The game will be added to your Microsoft account. You can download the Minecraft Launcher from minecraft.net/download.
- Open the launcher, sign in, and select your edition (Java or Bedrock) to start playing.
Tips
- Since 2022, Minecraft requires a Microsoft account (Mojang accounts have been fully migrated).
- Java Edition and Bedrock Edition are now bundled together when you buy Minecraft for PC.
- If you receive a 25-digit code, you may need to redeem it at redeem.microsoft.com instead.
- Each key can only be redeemed once.
