Call of Duty game keys are typically activated on either Steam or Battle.net, depending on the title and key type. Below you will find instructions for both platforms.
Before You Start
- Identify which platform your key is for (Steam or Battle.net). This is usually noted on the product page.
- A Steam account or a Battle.net account, depending on your key
- Your Call of Duty product key
If Your Key Is for Steam
- Open the Steam desktop client and sign in.
- Click “Games” in the top menu bar.
- Select “Activate a Product on Steam”.
- Enter your product key and click “Next”.
- The game will be added to your Steam library.
If Your Key Is for Battle.net
- Open the Battle.net desktop app and sign in.
- Click your account name in the top-right corner.
- Select “Redeem a Code”.
- Enter your product key and click “Redeem Code”.
- The game will appear in your Battle.net library.
Tips
- Call of Duty titles from Modern Warfare III (2023) onward are available on Steam. Older titles may be Battle.net-only.
- Keys are region-locked in some cases. Make sure the key region matches your account.
- Each key can only be activated once.
