Origin was EA’s PC game launcher, now replaced by the EA App. If you have an Origin key, you can still redeem it through the EA App, which uses the same EA account system.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
- An EA account (your old Origin account works — same credentials)
- The EA App installed on your PC (Origin has been retired and replaced by the EA App)
- Your product key
Redeeming via the EA App
Since Origin has been discontinued, all key redemptions now go through the EA App:
- Open the EA App and sign in with your EA account.
- Click your profile icon or username in the top-left corner.
- Select “Redeem Product Code”.
- Enter your product key and click “Next”.
- Confirm the redemption. The game will appear in your library.
Redeeming via the EA Website
- Go to ea.com/redeem and sign in.
- Enter your product key.
- Click “Next” and confirm. The game will be added to your EA account.
Tips
- Origin and EA App share the same account system. Your Origin login works on the EA App.
- If you still have Origin installed, EA recommends migrating to the EA App. Your games and saves will transfer automatically.
- Copy and paste your key to avoid typos.
- Some older Origin keys may be region-locked. Ensure your account region matches the key.
- Each key can only be redeemed once.
