EA calls their two-factor authentication “Login Verification.” Here’s how to enable it to protect your EA account.
How to enable Login Verification
- Go to myaccount.ea.com/security and sign in.
- Under “Login Verification”, click “Turn on”.
- Choose your preferred method:
Option 1: Authenticator App (Recommended)
- Select “App Authenticator”.
- Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, or a similar app.
- Enter the 6-digit code to verify.
- Save your backup codes.
Option 2: Email Verification
- Select “Email”.
- A code will be sent to your account email whenever you log in from a new device.
Tips
- The authenticator app method is more secure than email.
- Keep your backup codes in a safe place.
- Login Verification protects all EA services including the EA App, FIFA/FC Ultimate Team, and Battlefield.
