Rockstar Social Club supports two-step verification via authenticator app. Enabling it is strongly recommended, especially for GTA Online and Red Dead Online.
How to enable 2FA
- Go to socialclub.rockstargames.com/settings and sign in.
- Scroll to the “2-Step Verification” section.
- Click “Enable”.
- Download an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) if you haven’t already.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app to verify.
- Save the backup codes provided.
Tips
- Rockstar has previously given in-game bonuses (GTA$ and RDO gold) for enabling 2FA.
- Keep your backup codes in a safe location.
- You’ll need a code each time you log in from a new device.
- If you lose your authenticator, use a backup code to regain access.
