Discord Nitro gives you premium features like higher upload limits, custom emojis everywhere, HD streaming, a profile badge, and more. Here’s how to redeem your Nitro code.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
- A Discord account (free to create at discord.com)
- The Discord desktop app, mobile app, or access to the Discord website
- Your Nitro gift link or code
Method 1: Via Gift Link (Most Common)
- Click the gift link you received. It will typically look like discord.gift/XXXXXX.
- You’ll be taken to Discord with a pop-up to accept the gift.
- Click “Accept” and sign in if prompted.
- Nitro will be activated on your account immediately.
Method 2: Via the Discord App
- Open Discord and go to User Settings (gear icon near your username).
- Navigate to “Gift Inventory” under Billing Settings.
- Click “Redeem Code”.
- Enter your gift code and click “Redeem”.
- Nitro features will be activated immediately.
Tips
- Discord Nitro codes are not region-locked and work worldwide.
- If you already have Nitro, redeeming a code will extend your subscription.
- Nitro Basic and Nitro are different tiers. Check which one your code is for.
- Each code can only be redeemed once.
- If the code doesn’t work, make sure it hasn’t expired or been used already.
