About Infogrames
Infogrames publishes across action, adventure, horror, first person shooting and lighter casual and indie styles. Its best known entries in this selection are the Alien games, Alien: Isolation and Aliens: Colonial Marines, alongside the long running Worms series represented by Worms Armageddon and the science fiction adventure Outcast - Second Contact.
Studios behind games in the range include Melbourne House and SandCastles Studio, and the releases span 2013 to 2023. The mix means an Infogrames shelf sits comfortably next to both horror games and more straightforward action titles.
Infogrames games in the catalogue
The Alien strand covers Alien: Isolation, a stealth heavy survival horror game, and Aliens: Colonial Marines, a squad based shooter. Alien: Isolation comes on Steam, Epic Games and Xbox One, and is listed both as a key and as an account; Aliens: Colonial Marines is on Steam.
Elsewhere the range takes in Outcast - Second Contact, Robot Arena III, Deadly Dozen, Independence War, Mob Rule Classic and the co-op platformer Bread & Fred on Steam, while Worms Armageddon is listed for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Add on content is a notable part of the selection, including the Alien: Isolation collection and The Trigger, plus the Aliens: Colonial Marines season pass bundle, all of which need the matching base game on the same account. Most of the range sits among Steam keys, with a smaller set of adventure games for console.
Buying Infogrames games
Each game activates on the platform its listing names: Steam titles are redeemed in the Steam client or website, Xbox titles are redeemed on an Xbox or Microsoft account, and Alien: Isolation is also listed for the Epic Games launcher. If you have not redeemed a code before, the guide on activating a Steam key walks through the steps.
Keys are codes you redeem yourself, so the game joins your own library. An account listing arrives as a set of sign in details for an account with the game already on it, which you sign into rather than redeem. Games are sold per region, and a key must match the region of the account you activate it on, so check how region locking works before buying.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- It depends on the title. Steam is the most common platform in the Infogrames range, Worms Armageddon is for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and Alien: Isolation also appears for the Epic Games launcher.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the region of the key matches the region of the account it is being activated on. A key intended for one region will usually be rejected by an account set to a different one.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem so the game appears in your own library. An account listing gives you sign in details for an account that already has the game on it.
- Do the DLC and season pass listings need the base game?
- Yes. Add on content such as The Trigger or the Aliens: Colonial Marines season pass requires the matching base game on the same account.
- How do I receive what I bought?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
