About Systemic Reaction
Systemic Reaction makes and publishes systems-driven action games in Sweden, built around open environments, emergent combat and drop-in co-operative play. Its best-known title is Generation Zero, a first-person shooter set in an alternate 1980s Swedish countryside overrun by hostile machines.
Alongside it sit Second Extinction, a co-op shooter pitched against mutated dinosaurs, and Ravenbound, a roguelite action adventure set in a Nordic-inspired open world. Together they show a house style of replayable action and adventure games made for repeat runs rather than a single playthrough.
Games in the Systemic Reaction range
Generation Zero anchors the range and comes on Steam and Xbox One, as both keys and accounts. Its expansion content is broad: the Resistance Bundle and Ultimate Bundle gather larger packages, while separate add-ons such as FNIX Rising, Base Defense Pack, Motorbikes Pack, Camo Weapon Skins Pack, Companion Accessories Pack, Tactical Equipment Pack 2 and the US, Soviet and Eastern European weapons packs extend the arsenal and the fight against the machines. All add-on content requires the base game on the same account.
Second Extinction is listed for Steam and Epic Games, as keys and accounts, and Ravenbound comes as a Steam key. Genres across the range run from FPS and co-op shooters to action adventure, with Steam keys making up most of the selection and Xbox codes covering the console side.
How buying works
Each product activates on the platform named in its listing: Steam products are redeemed in the Steam client or website, Epic Games products in the Epic launcher, and Xbox products through the Microsoft Store or console redemption screen. Step-by-step help is available for activating a Steam key and for Xbox key redemption.
Most items are keys, which you redeem on your own account. Some Generation Zero and Second Extinction listings are game accounts, supplied with the game already on it, so you sign in rather than redeem a code. Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is being activated on, so check the region of a listing against your account before buying.
Common questions
- Which platform do these games activate on?
- Each listing states its platform. Generation Zero products activate on Steam or Xbox, Second Extinction on Steam or Epic Games, and Ravenbound on Steam.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the region matches. A key must be redeemed on an account set to the region the key is intended for, otherwise activation is refused.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem to add the game to your own account. An account listing arrives with the game already on it and is signed into instead.
- Do the Generation Zero DLC packs need the base game?
- Yes. Add-ons such as FNIX Rising, the weapons packs and the bundles require Generation Zero on the same account and platform.
- When do I receive my key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
