Secret Mode keys and accounts
Secret Mode is a publisher of indie games, known for backing small studios across horror, racing, puzzle and action projects. Its catalogue here runs from the North Sea horror of Still Wakes the Deep to the tidy-up puzzles of A Little To The Left and the arcade chaos of Make Way.
Most titles come as keys, with a few sold as accounts, covering releases from 2022 to 2026.

About Secret Mode
Secret Mode is the publishing label of UK developer Sumo Digital, and it specialises in distinctive, smaller-scale games rather than annual franchises. Its line-up includes work from The Chinese Room, whose Still Wakes the Deep is a first-person horror story set on an oil rig, Max Inferno's calming organisation puzzler A Little To The Left, and Fuse Games, Ice BEAM and Odd Dreams Digital.
The range leans towards indie games with strong ideas: racing and party driving in Make Way and DeathSprint 66, horror in Escape the Backrooms, and narrative adventure in A Storied Life: Tabitha and Empyreal.
Secret Mode games in the catalogue
Horror and adventure are well represented by Still Wakes the Deep and Escape the Backrooms, while racing fans have STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, DeathSprint 66, Make Way and the courier action of Parcel Corps. Lighter, casual picks include Critter Café, Everything is Crab and A Little To The Left, and there are more unusual entries in NUTMEG!, Instruments of Destruction and Empyreal.
Most titles are for PC as Steam keys. Still Wakes the Deep also appears for Microsoft platforms, Make Way is listed for Nintendo Switch as well as Steam, and Parcel Corps comes as an Xbox Series X|S account. Some listings are editions bundled with bonus content, such as STAR WARS: Galactic Racer with bonus items, so check what a given edition includes before buying.
How buying works
A key is redeemed on the platform the listing names: Steam keys are added through the Steam client or website, and Microsoft or Nintendo Switch codes go into the relevant store. If you have not done it before, see the guide on activating a Steam key.
Several games, including Still Wakes the Deep, A Little To The Left, Everything is Crab, Instruments of Destruction and Parcel Corps, are also sold as game accounts, which arrive with the game already on them and are signed into rather than redeemed. Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is activated on, so read the region details for the edition you pick.
Common questions
- Which platform does a Secret Mode game activate on?
- Each listing names its platform. Most of these games activate on Steam for PC, while Still Wakes the Deep also appears for Microsoft platforms, Make Way for Nintendo Switch and Parcel Corps for Xbox Series X|S.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the key's region matches the region of the account you redeem it on. A key sold for one region may be rejected or restricted on an account registered elsewhere, so match the two before buying.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem to add the game to your own library. An account comes with the game already on it, and you sign in to it instead of redeeming anything.
- Do add-ons need the base game?
- Yes. DLC and expansion listings require the matching base game on the same platform and account before the extra content can be used.
- When do I receive my key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
