About Aerosoft
Aerosoft publishes simulation software and games with a strong focus on realistic vehicles and routes. Its best known titles include the Fernbus Simulator and Tourist Bus Simulator coach games, OMSI 2 and City Bus Manager for city bus fans, ZUSI 3 Aerosoft Edition and SubwaySim 2 on rails, and the Autobahn Police Simulator series on the motorway.
Its releases come from a range of development teams, among them TML-Studios, MR-Software GbR, ViewApp, Z-Software, stillalive studios and HR Innoways. Alongside the driving titles the list widens into management and strategy with Rescue HQ - The Tycoon and Fata Deum, plus CityDriver and On The Road: The Truck Simulator.
Aerosoft games in the catalogue
The line-up spans releases from 2015 to 2025 and leans heavily towards simulation titles, with casual, indie, strategy, action and adventure entries alongside them. Fernbus Simulator and CityDriver come on Steam and Xbox Series X|S, while Truck and Logistics Simulator and Autobahn Police Simulator 2 and 3 cover Steam and Xbox One. On The Road: The Truck Simulator is listed for Xbox One. City Bus Manager, SubwaySim 2, Tourist Bus Simulator, OMSI 2, ZUSI 3 Aerosoft Edition, Autobahn Police Simulator, Fata Deum and Rescue HQ - The Tycoon appear as Steam titles.
A large part of the range is add-on content, so route packs, vehicle add-ons and other expansions sit next to the base games. Add-on content needs the matching base game on the same account before it can be used.
How buying works
Steam titles are redeemed in the Steam client or website and stay in that Steam library; Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions are redeemed on the Xbox account used at redemption. If you have not redeemed on PC before, the guide on activating a Steam key walks through the steps.
Most titles come as keys you redeem yourself. Some, such as Fernbus Simulator, City Bus Manager, CityDriver, SubwaySim 2, Truck and Logistics Simulator, Autobahn Police Simulator 3, On The Road: The Truck Simulator and Fata Deum, are also sold as accounts, which arrive with the game already on it and are signed into instead of redeemed. Games are sold per region, and a key has to match the region of the account it is activated on, so check how region locking works before ordering.
Common questions
- Which platform does an Aerosoft game activate on?
- It depends on the title. Steam versions activate on a Steam account, and Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S versions activate on an Xbox account. The platform is stated on each listing.
- Will a key work in another country?
- Only if the key's region matches the region of the account you redeem it on. A key made for one region will be refused by an account registered elsewhere.
- What is the difference between a key and an account?
- A key is a code you redeem so the game joins your own library. An account comes with the game already on it, and you sign in to play rather than redeeming anything.
- Do add-ons need the base game?
- Yes. DLC and expansions for titles such as Fernbus Simulator or OMSI 2 only work if the matching base game is on the same account and platform.
- When do I get my key or account details?
- The key or account details are delivered to your order once payment completes.
