About Albertson's gift cards

Albertson's is an American supermarket chain selling fresh produce, meat and seafood, bakery items, store cupboard staples, drinks and everyday household goods. An Albertson's gift card is spent in store on the same shopping a shopper would pay for by card or cash, making it a practical gift rather than a single product voucher.

Values run in US dollars from small top-ups suitable for a quick shop through to larger amounts for a full grocery run, so the card works for a small thank you as easily as for a household contribution. Albertson's sits alongside other supermarket and retail brands in the prepaid gift card range.

How to redeem an Albertson's gift card

The Albertson's eGift is redeemed in person at a staffed checkout. Have the QR code ready either printed or on a phone screen before paying.

Take your shopping to a staffed checkout lane at an Albertson's store.
Let the checker total the order.
Present the eGift QR code, printed or on your mobile device, as tender.
Allow the checker to scan the QR code with the handheld scanner.
Pay any remaining balance by another method if the order total is higher than the card value.

Regions and where the card works

Albertson's gift cards are issued for the United States and are redeemed at Albertson's stores there, so buy the card for the country where the recipient does their grocery shopping. A card bought for one country's stores cannot be moved to another retailer or another market.

Because redemption happens at the checkout rather than in an online account, the recipient needs to be able to visit a store in person.
