Aldi gift cards

An Aldi gift card is a prepaid voucher spent in Aldi supermarkets. It covers the weekly shop: fresh food, store cupboard staples, household goods, drinks and the changing middle aisle range of homeware, tools, clothing and seasonal stock.

The code arrives as something you print and hand over at the till, so it suits gifting to family, neighbours or anyone who does their grocery shopping with Aldi.

About Aldi gift cards

Aldi is a discount supermarket chain with stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland, known for own-label groceries alongside a rotating selection of non-food items. A gift card is put towards whatever the store sells, which makes it a practical present when you would rather not choose someone's shopping for them.

Values run from small amounts suitable for a top-up shop through to larger sums for a full trolley, in pounds sterling and euros depending on the country. Anyone who lives near an Aldi store will find it easy to use, and it works just as well as a thank you, a birthday gift or a contribution to a household's food budget. More options of this kind sit in the wider prepaid gift card range.

How to redeem an Aldi gift card

Redemption happens in store rather than online. Once the card reaches you, print it and take it with you on your next shop.

Open the gift card attached to your order.
Print the card out on paper.
Take the printed card to your local Aldi store.
Hand it to the cashier at the till when you pay.
Use the value towards your shopping.

Regions and where Aldi gift cards work

Aldi gift cards are tied to the country they were issued for. A card in pounds sterling is meant for Aldi stores in the United Kingdom, and a card in euros is meant for Aldi stores in Ireland. The two are not interchangeable, since each is accepted in the currency and the stores of its own country.

Choose the region that matches where the recipient actually does their shopping. If you are buying for someone else, check which country they live in before picking a card.
