Global Hotel Card gift cards
A Global Hotel Card gift card is a prepaid travel code that pays towards hotel reservations booked through the GlobalHotelCard.com website. The service is powered by Expedia, so the hotel choice covers stays in many countries, while the card itself is issued in a single currency.
Codes are applied at checkout and the value is deducted from the booking total.
About Global Hotel Card
Global Hotel Card is a gift card for accommodation. Rather than paying for a particular property in advance, the recipient picks their own dates and hotel on the GlobalHotelCard.com site and uses the code to reduce what they pay at checkout. That makes it a straightforward present for someone planning a trip, a weekend away or a stay for a family occasion.
Cards are issued in the currency of their region, including Hong Kong dollars, US, New Zealand, Australian and Canadian dollars, euros, pounds and Swedish krona, and range from smaller amounts to larger ones for a longer stay. If you are comparing travel credit with other options, it sits alongside the rest of the prepaid gift cards used for booking and spending online.
How to redeem a Global Hotel Card gift card
Global Hotel Cards are redeemable only for hotel reservations made online through the GlobalHotelCard.com website, in the currency the card was issued in. They cannot be redeemed at Expedia.com.
- Go to globalhotelcard.com.
- Choose your hotel reservation and proceed to checkout.
- Enter the gift card code.
- Select Redeem.
- Check that the gift card value has been deducted from the booking total, then complete the reservation.
Regions and currencies
Each Global Hotel Card is tied to a region and is issued in that region's currency, so the code is spent in that currency when a booking is made. Choose the card that matches the currency the recipient expects to book in rather than the country of the hotel they intend to stay in.
Hotels themselves can be anywhere the booking site offers, so a card bought in one currency can still pay for a stay abroad, as long as the redemption is made on the GlobalHotelCard.com website.
