Can I use a TripGift gift card in another country?

The card is tied to the country and currency it was issued for. A code bought for one region may not apply to a booking made from another, so match the card to where the traveller books.

How do I receive the code?

The code is delivered to your order once payment completes, ready to enter at the TripGift checkout.

What happens to any balance left over?

The voucher value is deducted from your basket at checkout, so if the booking costs less than the card, the remaining value stays with the code for a later booking, subject to the TripGift terms.

What can the gift card be spent on?

Flight and hotel bookings, things to do, car rental, cruises and transfers offered through TripGift.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You register an account at tripgift.com, make your selection and then apply the code during checkout.

TripGift gift cards

A TripGift gift card is a prepaid travel voucher redeemed against bookings made on the TripGift site. The code covers flights and hotels, things to do, car hire, cruises and transfers.

Cards are issued for particular countries and currencies, so the one you choose should match where the traveller books.

About TripGift gift cards

TripGift is a travel gifting service: instead of a card tied to one airline or hotel chain, the value sits in a code that can be put towards a search for flight and hotel packages, activities, car rental by country and city, cruises or airport transfers. That makes a TripGift gift card a practical present for someone whose plans are not yet fixed, or for anyone topping up the cost of a trip they are already planning.

Face values run from smaller gift amounts up to larger contributions towards a booking, in US and Canadian dollars, euros, pounds and Australian dollars. TripGift sits alongside other prepaid gift cards for travel and everyday spending.

How to redeem a TripGift gift card

Redemption happens at the checkout of a TripGift booking, where the code is pasted into the eGift card field and its value is taken off the basket.

Register or sign in to an account at tripgift.com.
Choose Book Trip or Experiences and search for a flight and hotel, activity, car rental, cruise or transfer.
Select the options you want and enter the details of everyone travelling.
Go to the checkout page and paste your eGift card code into the Redeem eGift card code box, then submit it.
Check that the voucher value has been deducted from the basket.
Agree to the terms and confirm the booking, then keep the email confirmation and reservation receipt.

Regions and currencies

Each TripGift gift card is issued for one country and one currency, and it is intended for bookings made from that country's version of the service. Buy the card for the country the recipient books from rather than the destination they are travelling to, since the currency on the code is what gets applied to the basket.

If a booking comes to more than the value of the gift card, the remainder is paid at the TripGift checkout in the usual way.

Regions currently listed for TripGift: United States, Canada, Austria. Use the region filter beside the results to see the cards for one country.
