Redeeming a PlayStation Store code lets you add games, DLC, subscriptions, and wallet funds to your PSN account. Follow the steps below for your preferred method.
Before you start
Make sure you have the following ready:
- A PlayStation Network (PSN) account
- Your 12-digit redemption code (formatted as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX)
- An internet connection
Method 1: Via PS5 Console (Recommended)
- From the PS5 home screen, go to the PlayStation Store (bag icon in the top-right corner).
- Scroll down the left sidebar and select “Redeem Codes”.
- Enter your 12-digit code carefully and click “Redeem”.
- The content will be added to your library or your wallet will be topped up.
Method 2: Via PS4 Console
- From the PS4 home screen, go to the PlayStation Store.
- Scroll down the left sidebar and select “Redeem Codes”.
- Enter your 12-digit code and select “Continue”.
- Confirm the redemption. The content will appear in your library.
Method 3: Via the PlayStation Store Website
- Go to store.playstation.com and sign in with your PSN account.
- Click on your profile avatar in the top-right corner.
- Select “Redeem Code” from the dropdown menu.
- Enter your 12-digit code and click “Redeem”.
- The content will be added to your account and available on your console.
Method 4: Via the PlayStation App
- Open the PlayStation App on your phone and sign in.
- Tap the PlayStation Store icon at the bottom.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) or your profile icon, then select “Redeem Code”.
- Enter your code and tap “Redeem”.
Tips
- Copy and paste your code to avoid errors if redeeming via the web.
- PlayStation codes are region-locked. Your PSN account region must match the code’s region (e.g., a US code only works on a US PSN account).
- If you need to change your PSN account region, you’ll need to create a new account for that region.
- Each code can only be redeemed once.
- Wallet fund codes add credit to your PSN wallet, which you can spend on any content in the store.
